Hello

Deniz Altınay, Co-Chair of the Conference
President of the Istanbul Psychodrama Institute

Dear Participants, Colleagues,
For the first time in Türkiye, this esteemed Trauma Conference is being organized under the
umbrella of IAGP as the 5th IAGP Mediterranean Regional Trauma and Disasters
Conference. The fact that this conference, organized under the leadership of Dr. Caner Bingöl,
the head of the IAGP Trauma and Disasters section, is being held in Antalya, Turkey, is
certainly not a coincidence.
Almost all of the mass traumas occurring around the world are abundantly present in our
region. natural disasters, social traumas stemming from inequalities, and the pain caused by
social and political disparities significantly affect the populations in our region. Consequently,
numerous experts and organizations in our country and around the world are conducting
extensive studies and accumulating experience in this field.
I believe that participating in this congress is our shared obligation to make our voices heard,
to share and proliferate more effective methods to combat traumas, and to draw public
attention to all the traumas occurring, both locally and globally.
With Sincere Respect,
